The importance of a strong fund development plan and knowledgeable personnel to execute it cannot be underestimated in any nonprofit organization. Leadership of staff, board, and volunteers in carrying out fundraising tactics included in the plan requires: understanding of and commitment to ethical and legal fundraising; expertise in various tactics; in-depth familiarity with the organization’s mission, constituents, donors/funders, and programs; excellent writing and project management skills; relationships with donors and funders; and the ability to integrate fund development into the overall communication (internal and external) of the organization.
This informal, confidential discussion will address these issues and skills – and others brought to the table – to increase your ability to advance your organization's fund development plans, actions, and outcomes to assure your organization’s sustainability.
Target audience includes fund development staff.
