Technical Assistance

What is it? Can it help me?

In the field of nonprofit capacity building, technical assistance (TA) means working directly with nonprofit consultants and/or trainers, including ONEplace staff, for a confidential assessment of currently functioning areas and recommendations for actions to improve your nonprofit organization’s (NPO) ability to carry out your mission-driven work.

ONEplace Can Help

TA is a customized “diagnose and prescription” process that starts where your NPO is, now, and gives you tools to work toward stronger infrastructure, greater capacity, and improved outcomes. ONEplace can help you:

  • Find consultants and trainers (directory will be available April 1, 2009)
  • Determine your nonprofit’s lifecycle stage and learn what can be expected at each stage: start-up, growth, mature, decline, terminal
  • Determine how well your NPO is operating, day-to-day, and the challenges you face in meeting your goals
  • Establish short- and long-term goals for improvement
  • Propose steps, timelines, and evaluation methods to progress toward your goals
  • Get answers to questions: Ask ONEplace

To make an appointment with ONEplace staff, call 269-553-7910 or contact ONEplace.
