Grace Period

You may return materials up to three days after the due date. On the fourth day, a late fee will be charged for each day after the due date. The three-day grace period does not apply to VHS, DVDs, CD-Roms, iPods, Sony Digital Readers, video games, and Hot Picks.

Overdue Notices and Fees

When you borrow materials, you will receive a list of the items you have checked out showing their due dates. If you keep library materials beyond their due date, the library may send up to three overdue notices to remind you to return items as a courtesy. A maximum fee will be charged for long overdue items when they are returned.

Borrowers with $10 or more in late fees or fines charged to their account will not be allowed to check out materials or use a library computer. Unpaid fines or replacement charges may be referred to a collection agency.

Damaged or Lost Materials

Borrowers will be charged for damaged or lost library materials. This charge will include a $5 processing fee plus the amount needed to replace the lost or damaged item.
