Carol Manstrom

I began working at the Friends Bookstore in August of 2003 and saw my new job as a wonderful opportunity. I am the kind of person who cannot imagine going a day without having a good book in my hands. Libraries and bookstores have always been very special places to me. I even harbored a secret dream of someday owning my own bookstore. Working at the Friends Bookstore has turned out to be a real pleasure and a source of great personal satisfaction. The volunteers are unbelievably dedicated. They keep giving and giving. I am very proud of our bookstore operation and its non-profit mission. We provide the public with a source of low cost quality reading and media, and then we help the Kalamazoo Public Library with our proceeds. Everybody is a winner!

I enjoy reading quality fiction, literature and memoirs.
