Linda Kubinski

My husband will tell you that whenever I move to a new area I look first at the libraries before the housing. That’s pretty close to being true. When I retired from my career as a photo editor at Grolier Publishing’s Reference Book Division to move to Michigan, working for the Friends of the Library seemed like a perfect fit. And it has fit for the past ten years. Creating posters, advertisements, newsletters and membership campaigns has fulfilled my creative side while the financial duties have kept me humble. The added bonus has been coming into contact with all of the wonderful “book people” who volunteer for and patronize the Friends Bookstore. A bookstore located within a library has certainly provided the absolutely ideal working setting for me.

I enjoy reading mysteries, quality fiction, and needlecraft books.
