We are looking for someone to become our new Associate Bookstore Manager. This will be a part time (20 hour/week) position. Here’s our check list for some of the qualities we think would make a great manager:
- Loves books and enjoys people
- Keeps up with timely topics
- Interested in what others are reading
- Team player but willing to make decisions
- Good organizational skills
- Can be interrupted and keep smiling

Annual Summer Bag-of-Books Sale

Central Library, Rear Parking Lot (corner of Rose and Lovell)
Don’t miss our annual Summer Bag-of-Books Sale in the parking lot next to Central Library. Choose from more than 10,000 books at just $2.00 a bag or 10¢ a book; fiction, mystery, romance, and more. Kids can browse carts full of children’s books, too. Enjoy the Do-Dah Parade, the KIA Art Fair in Bronson Park, and the Friends Book Sale—all in one day!
The annual Winter Bag-of-Books Sale is scheduled for Saturday, January 14. The sale will be held at Central Library in the third floor VanDeusen Room. It starts at 9:00 and concludes at 3:30. Books sell for 10₵ each or (even better) $2.00 for a grocery-size bagful! Books are separated by category and you will find the following: Fiction and Mystery, Science Fiction, Romance, Large Print, Children’s Books, Assorted Nonfiction, as well as CDs, DVDS, Videos, and Audio Books.
