The New Bronson: New Beginnings by Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra The New Bronson: New Beginnings
Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra
From the liner notes: “It is a time of new beginnings at Bronson Methodist Hospital. The musical work New Beginnings, produced in collaboration with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, is our way of celebrating two very important milestones - the opening of The New Bronson and our centennial year. It is also a thank-you to everyone who has been a part of our progress. To celebrate the grand opening of The New Bronson in downtown Kalamazoo, Peter Boyer was commissioned to compose the original orchestral score New Beginnings, to be performed by the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, with Music Director Raymond Harvey conducting. The world premiere of the piece was on September 22, 2000, in concert at Miller Auditorium, on the campus of Western Michigan University.” Peter Boyer “New Beginnings” Recorded 9/23/2000Dvorák Symphony no. 9 in E Minor, op. 95 “From the New World” Recorded live in concert 9/22/2000 Performer:  Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra ; Raymond Harvey, music director.
