Vine Neighborhood

During the month of May, 2009, KPL hosted several programs celebrating the Vine Neighborhood as part of our “Neighborhood Focus” series. The first program featured the city’s historic preservation coordinator and long-time Vine resident, Sharon Ferraro, who presented the neighborhood’s fascinating history. Lynn Houghton, local historian and co-author of Kalamazoo Lost and Found, highlighted Vine’s amazing variety of architectural styles in the next program. The series concluded with a look at the Rose Place Project. This program was presented by Julie DeLuca, one of the property owners that helped transform Rose Place into “an enhanced urban living environment.” Each program was video recorded along with a brief interview with the presenter.
