Kalamazoo: Then and Now

William E Hill built this house in 1890 as he rose to prominence though the sale of lumbering equipment. Hill and his children after him held lavish parties in the third floor ball room, and the entire first floor was designed so that it could be opened up to accomodate a very large number of guests.

While significant alterations have been made to both the interior and exterior of the home, it retains many of its most prominent architectural elements.
