Get Geeked for Geek Fest 2017!  The 2nd Annual comic book, gaming, cosplay convention for all ages will be held on Saturday, October 14, 11 am - 3 pm at the Antwerp Activity Center at 24821 Front Street in Mattawan. The event is free and open to the public. 

This year's Geek Fest features a cosplay contest with prizes, Kalamazoo Ghostbusters, L'Arte D'Armizare, Nova VR, Mattawan RoboKatsMattawan WiredCats, and Scotty "Bud" Melvin Media Flying Drones

Gamers of all ages will enjoy the Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, Paul Sizer, Ruth McNally Barshaw, and Aunt Cathy's Kiddy Corner, Elder Sign, Magic, the Gathering, Munchkin, Open Gaming, Pookie, No!, and Zombies in Kalamazoo in the Gaming Room. 

Featured artists and authors include Francis Vallejo, Jack Cheng (virtual visit), cosplay expert Jessi Fletcher, Kenjji Jumanne-Marshall as well as teen artists. 

If you have maker mania, then come make slime with the Kalamazoo Ghostbusters, make your own journal with Ruth McNally Barshaw, make buttons, get your photo taken and more in the Maker Mania Room. 

Bookbug, a local, independent bookstore, will be on site selling books. Kalamazoo Pizza Company and Motor Mouth will be selling food.
