April 5, 2007 Library Invites Book Suggestions for Reading Together 2008

Kalamazoo Public Library will lead a sixth year of Reading Together in early 2008. This community-wide reading program invites people of all ages, from all walks of life, to read and then discuss important issues raised by a single book. Previous Reading Together titles have included Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury in 2003, Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting by in America by Barbara Ehrenreich in 2004, The Color of Water in 2005, The Things They Carried in 2006, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in 2007.

The library invites readers to suggest a book for Reading Together in 2008. Any Kalamazoo County resident can submit a title suggestion in one of the following ways by April 30, 2007:

  • Email a suggestion to
  • Leave a suggestion on the Reading Together phone line, (269) 553-7914
  • Fill out a suggestion slip and deposit it in a collection box at any branch of the Kalamazoo Public Library
  • Mail a suggestion to Reading Together, Kalamazoo Public Library, 315 S. Rose St., Kalamazoo MI 49007
