Reading—and Volunteering—Together

Because we want to encourage our community to go the next step after reading and discussing Evicted, KPL has partnered with United Way of the Battle Creek & Kalamazoo Region and with Housing Resources Inc to create volunteer opportunities for Reading Together participants.

Two-hour time commitment (four options available)
Thursday, March 22, 7:15 am - 9:15 am -or- 12:45 pm - 2:45 pm
Friday, March 23, 7:15 am - 9:15 am -or- 12:45 pm - 2:45 pm

Ministry with Community

Serve breakfast or lunch to Ministry with Community Members. (8 volunteer slots per day for breakfast; 12 volunteer slots per day for lunch)


7-hour time commitment (two options available)
Tuesday, March 27, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm -or- 
Saturday, March 31, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity

Help build a Habitat House! (15 Volunteer Slots each day)
