Andrea Enyedi

Kalamazoo Public Library hired me in 1997 to implement the Ready to Read program. After working in the adult literacy field for several years, it was exciting and refreshing to be promoting early childhood literacy.

Before moving to Michigan, I spent time managing a workplace literacy program for Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, coordinating an adult literacy program in Central Pennsylvania, and teaching at a community college in Toronto, Ontario.

Now, I have the fun job of coordinating volunteer readers, organizing Party in the Park and the Great Grown-up Spelling Bee, and best of all... giving out children’s books in the community!

I am an active board member of the Kalamazoo Literacy Council and The First Day Shoe Fund. I am also a member of the League of Women Voters.
