Ann Fleming

I’ve been employed at the Kalamazoo Public Library since 1990 and have been in the Children’s Services area for that time. I began as a part-time employee and have added hours to equal full-time over the span of 18 years.

I graduated from library school at Western Michigan University in 1977, while working at my first library job at the Comstock Township Library. Other past experiences include working in a school library system, retail, and home party sales.

I have two grown children and two grandchildren who love books. What choice do they have when both grandparents are librarians? There is always time for reading, and my favorite genre is the mystery story. I also read (sometimes briefly) a good many of the new children’s fiction titles as they arrive.
