I’ve worked at KPL since 1999, first as a Circulation Aide and then in Teen Services, conducting teen programs and working with the TAB volunteers.
In my tenure as Government Information Coordinator, I recently had the pleasure of working together with several colleagues and supportive political officials to coordinate our Centennial Anniversary Celebration. Just imagine, 100 years as a federal depository! I am currently serving on the Michigan Council of Federal Depository Libraries.
I frequently staff the Reference Desk at Central Library, and I enjoy the challenge of reference work. I feel like a detective piecing together clues, whenever I’m presented with an intriguing reference question. Then again, I welcome the chance to discuss good fiction with patrons when asked “What should I read next?” on the first floor Reader’s Service desk. I really appreciate working at a library that is supported and utilized so well by its community.
