Buzz over to Kalamazoo Public Library and catch the reading bug this summer! Research shows that all students experience reading loss if they don't read over the summer. The library can help by making reading a fun summer activity for the whole family.

Kids, Tweens and Teens!
The kids, tween and teen games all encourage reading through prizes, gift books, or raffle drawings throughout the summer. Preschoolers get a sticker each time they report books read to them.
Even grown-ups can join the fun!
When they fill in their summer reading gamecard, they earn chances to win prizes like an Apple iPod Shuffle, Sony e-Reader, and bookstore gift certificates.
KPL also sponsors dozens of free programs for youth and adults. Some of the summer highlights include performance by the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team, a marionette show, a cartooning class, and Zoomobile visits.
End-of-Summer Reading Party
Put the end-of-summer reading party on your calendar!
Everyone who plays one of KPL's summer reading games is invited to the end-of-summer party on Saturday, September 13, 2-5 pm, at the Arcadia Festival Site downtown. Pick up your free admission ticket between August 25 and September 6 at any library location.
Watch for more information later this summer!
