Kalamazoo Public Library hosts the Great Grown-up Spelling Bee to benefit Ready to Read, our early childhood literacy program. 100% of the proceeds from this wild and wacky event are used to purchase books for at-risk children in Kalamazoo County. The 2011 Bee was held on Wednesday, November 16, at WMU's Bernhard Center.
