Bookstore News October 6 - 9

We have several special collections of books for you to look through and enjoy this week. We have a very interesting assortment of African American studies. On the Road to Freedom by Charles E. Cobb Jr. is a guided tour of the civil rights trail. Representative John Lewis says "This book represents a rare opportunity to walk through the pages of history with a man who was there. A window to a not-so-distant past, it reveals the heart and soul of a movement that transformed America." Another fascinating read is A Stronger Kinship by Anna-Lisa Cox. This book is written about Covert, Michigan. It is the true and inspiring story of a nineteenth century town where blacks and whites lived as equals. These are just two of many interesting books.

Also in the spotlight this week : Art, Halloween, and fiction.
